Graphite tools

From the idea of Dors (Dors artblog) to show our tools used to produce our artwork, here is a pic of mine. Please click the pic to see the text.

This is for my graphite drawings.
I use Derwent and Staedtler pencils. Koh-i-nor woodless and a variaty of clutch-pencils.

My supports are white drawingpapers usually from 190 gsm and up. Brands like: Fabriano, Winsor&newton, Canson, Daler Rowney, Durex, Mellotex and Hahnemühle Nostalgia.

  1. So nice to see your Art tools Lene.

The Plexiglass is a fantastic idea. I must see if I can get one of those.

What do you think of the woodless graphite pencils. I have some but have not ever used them .

I see we have a few things pretty much the same.

Thanks so much Lene for sharing. It's a great way to share and pick up tips on tools.

Maybe sometime we could share and discuss surfaces. what do you think ?

  2. Dors, the plexiglass is great, as its lightweight, transparent and lasting. You can clean it. I just add the pads to avoid it sliding.
Yes we could pick up on paper-favorites as well :)
ps. I saw your embossing tool was too large, the metallic knit-needles I use comes in a variaty of sizes
